Wild Roses

One sweet spring morning,

Under the glare of the sunlight,

That kissed the earth with his warm rays,

I wandered lonely as a cloud,

Feeling the moist under my bare feet,

As I grazed my feet on the green grasses,

Over the hills and valleys,

Misty white clouds floated free,

Along with the morning breeze,

As I spread my wings in total surrender,

Of what lied ahead of my naked eyes,

Crowds of colorful petals fluttered and danced,

red and golden wild roses spreading in the beds of nature,

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

under the shadow of the hillsides,

looming over the precious treasure,

that stretched in a never ending line,

as their sweet fragrance washed me over,

Beautiful and elegant as they kept on fluttering

Tossing their heads in lively dance,

As if playing hide and seek with towering sunray,

Like thousands of star in the Milky Way,

Ten thousand saw I at a glance,

As the bliss of solitude met this breathtaking sight,

A perfect picture of natural beauty,

as they out-did the sparkling leaves in glee,

And I stood in total surrender,

be in awe of the majestic splendor,

a peaceful bliss a soul sought over,

as I danced with the splendid roses,

lost in thought,

feeling nothing but gay

Moon and Sun

Dark clouds drifted among heavens,

casting a gloomy mood of the universe,

as the sun lost interest to share his lights,

and stayed idle in his splendor throne,

letting the world shrank in darkness,

wishing his beloved to finally fly to his side,

As the night crept by,

the stars hid in walls of clouds,

and the moon cried in her silver tears,

when her radiant glow refused to shine,

losing her beauty, dying slowly,

for her beloved has abandoned her to death,

days went by,

as the world plunged into darkness,

killing every living soul slowly,

as the moon cried in silver tears,

begging her love to leave his throne,

as their love must not ruin the world they loved so much,

Silvery patch of misty haze drifted among heavens,

forming a hallo of an anguished heart,

as the moon silently kissed her love,

to bid a farewell with her tender eyes,

a promise as pure as the sunlight,

to let the world live,

As she slowly turned into silvery mist,

her love mourned with a brokenheart,

painting the skies in colorful rainbow hues,

as he descended from his celestial throne,

outshining the universe with his rays of lights,

to kiss his moon from afar,

breathing a life into her, with a tormented heart,

as his love was sealed eternally,

although his moon should live far apar

Sometimes Life Does Not go The way We Want It

As the cascading rain kissed the earth, I stood in my solitary thought. Looking back at the passing years, so many things I've been through, bad or good. Each added a unique color in my picture of life, making it richer in colors and diversities. Some lines and colors were not supposed there. In my point of view, they made the picture gloomy and sad. Yet, sometimes and often, life did not go the way we want it. We could only shape and bend the form and the color we wanted. Yet, the end result was the combination of our projection, effort, and fate.

Once again, I gazed at the swirling rain by the wind as some cold water splashed my face, making me twitch in a jump. Like the rain, sometimes our presence brought goodness in some certain amount, at other times, ours could bring menace, depending on the duration and the amount of water level being pouring down into the earth. We could only try our best to keep our balance in terms of those specific needs, in order to bring goodness out of us, to feel happiness. The outcome of such effort was not within our hand.

Life is an everlasting struggle and journey. It is always a combination of hope and sorrow, of happiness and sadness, of living and dying...always two opposite things of a coin...they always switched in turn... nothing lasted forever. And when life does not go the way we want it, all we could only do is keep on going, never giving up hope. That's what makes us alive... to feel sorrow and happiness in turn... to keep on trying our best in life...to feel pain and hurt...to feel joys and bliss...

The rain has stopped that brought my thought into my current situation. It's the beginning of my unpredictable journey. Battered and bruised at my first early steps, but now I grow accustomed to it. One thing for sure, this journey someday will come to its end which in turn might lead me into another voyage. This pain and hurt might someday end and replaced totally new feeling :-)

THE MAZE

It started out as a casual greeting,

of strangers lost in their ways,

simple words of encouragement,

tender smile of understanding,

a shared secret of mutual bereavement

as both waited for shooting stars,

a simple casual exchange of words,

then grew into a hope

Which then turned their quiet thought,

into a magical world of Oz,

full of wonders, as well as dangers,

as they explored further the new horizon,

Two stragers found solace in each other,

a mutual company in their solitary world,

as the dawning of the days approaching,

casting some rays of light into their darkest days,

which then replaced by deepest evils lurking,

robbing away their innocence, preying into their souls,

It started out as a feeling,

which then grew into a hope,

a world of Oz with magic and wonders,

which then turned into a mysterious maze,

to what an end, they both had to keep on searching,

a perilious journey, or a triumphant end
