Mirror Mirror on the Wall

Mirror mirror on the wall rectify my error,

Cast your magic, ease the pain,

Relieve me from relentless terror,

Mirror mirror on the wall, save me from this plight,

Double time, half the pay, five voices all demanding,

Yet only my two hands to type the fight,

Mirror mirror on the wall, lead me to the dragon’s lair,

Beg the King to grant me wings and mighty roar,

Whence I transcend this bitter end, discharging every chore.

Mirror mirror on the wall, the day is nearly done,

Reflect upon my intellect, and how this war was won,

With fallen wings into the terrain,

Tomorrow it all starts again!

My Dear Annoying Train

O, dear my ugly loving train,

You broke my heart again,

Over and over you constantly let me down,

Leaving me stranded in the rain now and then,

O, dear my hideous darling train,

Feet sore, toes got trampled over,

Beads of sweat rolled down like a river,

How dare you said sorry and sorry again!

O, dear my obnoxious silly train,

You taxed me with overpriced horrible service!

While delayed was your pathetic excuse,

So lame as an obselete song,

Forgotten and abandoned!

O, dear my sweet annoying train,

Poor as you were,

I had no choice but to love thee,

My Dear Playful Rain

It's January morn, lad!

thundering downpours woke me in the dead of the cold,

torrential rains battered my window sill,

while the sun hid behind the invisible wall!

Making the day a hellish dull!

O, stop thy mocking grin!

I need my sun to shine again,

a little dance to make my skies smile!

So I can hurriedly be off my way!

O, you mischievous spoiled rain!

Stop ruin my day for just today,

I had no mood to play jest with thee,

For I had affairs to attend soon!

O, wicked heartless rain!

It’s almost 7 yet thy still dally,

Binding me with thy childish whine,

Be good and I shall be your most wonderful companion!

Be bad then I shall be thy most fearsome foe!

Grieve Not Forever My Friend

You stood in silence,

Mourning over your lost love,

Till your tears have reached the seas,

And words were drown in crashing waves,

Seagulls shrieked in unison upon the shore,

... As you said him your final goodbye,

Sooner, the earth would take him in her sweet tenderness,

Stands of your coal black hair fell over your face,

Eyes locked far into the horizon,

Over the golden tendrils licking the reddish skies,

Frozen in such state of beautiful grace,

Before twilight reigned the universe,

Just like the eclipse of your heart,

When the love of your life went to heaven,

Dearest friend of mine,

Let me hold you close,

Be your shoulders to cry on,

Grieve along over your sorrows and woes,

Yet, let me say words I’ve heard from wisemen,

The night would soon be replaced by morn’

Twilight would soon be replaced by dawn,

Part of him would live on,

forever carved deep inside your heart,

The days keep coming without fail

A new wind is gonna find your sail

That's where your journey starts,

And I will come all the way down with you,

As we remember him with such clarity,

He will forever be within our hearts,

(dedicated to my beloved Friend, Faridda Mutimmah who had just lost her husband today)

Broken

my heart burst in agony,
unbearable pain of uncertainty,
O,  how we end up in this endless circle of confusion,
having no idea of the state we were in,
whether love stil existed within,
while our beings were farther apart,

O, how it hurts a lot,
as if tons rocks collapsed on top of us,
of not knowing each other after what we've been through,
of the love that won't last,
leaving trails of scars and broken heart,
when we stand so close but souls get so distant,

I know I have a fickle heart and a bitterness,
that makes things so much worse,
O, but how can I curb my mortal needs,
for being the source of my flame,
when you slowly extiguish the fire,
how can I not walk away,

O, how it hurts a lot,
when the flame dies away,
and you still cling on me,
how can I not fall into pieces,

Beautiful Heart

How can a heart contain of so much pain,

carved in rough jagged edges,
mutilated in so many pieces,
leaving spaces to fill in,
yet, it shines and keeps on beating
just waiting right there,
for other pieces to patch the empty space,
insignia of love and give,

How can a heart pulsate in such vigor,
while it keeps on bleeding red,
no matter how much patches stitched to seal the wound,
it never hesitates to cut a piece of the already charred heart,
expecting nothing in return,
yet, despite the many scars,
its beauty radiates and glows,
offering lights even in the darkest days

A Song of Remorse

The skies paled in the absence of the moon,
The stars were just a mist of golden ray,
The wind shrieked in eerie melancholy,
The air was damp in wretched agony,
Unfathomable of profound darkness suffocated the atmosphere,
As the night remembered the pain of a goodbye,

O, Bird of Light…
In shadows, he called out the name with heartache,
With a voice of remorseful guilt,
Tears of sorrow ruefully cascading down the earth,
Grief-stricken in an abhorred loath,
Of his Achilles' heel to surrender in disgraceful demise,

O, Bird of Light…
He wailed in the dead of sinister night,
To beseech mercy of forgiveness,
In seeking The Light to enter the heart,
To bring an end to his eclipse, banish evil lurking inside,
that once again he would embrace peace

An Augury of Life

To see a world evolve in seasonal change,

Summer brings warmth as fire

Winter brings coldness as ice

Autumn brings colors as hope

Spring brings change as new life,

Joy is the undesirable companion of woe,

Sadness is the silent friend of pleasure,

Vice is the uninvited attendant of virtue,

Every grief and pine has a silken twine,

Such is what the soul require as attire

Lost Promises

Waves came crashing upon shores,

Dancing in melancholy blues,

Gently the moon laid her tender kiss,

And the stars formed a patch of silver dusts,

Brighten up the dark skies with colors,

Yet, the sea is still roaring in torment,

Casting fears over the night,

Under the shade of the full moon,

We stood in stillness,

As the ocean played its somber rhythms,

And seagull shrieked in cries,

Our tears frozen into misty pearls,

Rolling down to the watery sands,

Over our lost promises

On the Shores of the Broken

On the shores of the broken,
Let the winds of the heavens hold you dear,
Let the sunlight bathe you clear,
For in between ashes and flames,
I shall always stand near,

On the shores of the broken,
Let the sea wash the tears away,
Let the moon ease the pain,
For our song will burn brighter,
When the hand of Life contains our hearts,

On the shores of the broken,
Let not fears falter the spirits,
Let not doubts cloud the minds,
For in silence we shall battle our shadow of shame,
And I shall always stand close,

On the shores of the broken,
Let your bare feet take delights in the waters,
Let the soul take comforts in this silence and tranquility,
Let the eyes take pleasure of the bountiful nature,
And we shall await the Divine Grace

Winter Kiss

Frosty snow bites fiercely,
bringing chill to the bones,
as the wind wails an anguished cries,
and the trees bark in ferocious fury,
when winter brings her deadly kiss,
turning the land into waste of barren whiteness,

O, Wind, Winter has come mercilessly,
stealing away the Summer grass,
while Spring hides in quite abode,
and Autums slumbers in stilness,
as Winter lays her deadly kiss,

White and bare in coldness,
seagulls shriek the cliffs and hills,
Black wings flap and snap in pale skies,
the seas frozen in glistening tears,
as Winter lays her deadly kiss,

Yet, in beast, beauty emerges out of rage,
sculptures of nature in alluring shapes,
laid bare anywhere the eye beholds,
icicles hanging over trees, grass, and rooftops,
frozen tears of the skies painted the land,
it's such beauty in the beast

Lost in Winter

The sun is a shade of shadow in grayish skies,
The icy wind howls and shrieks,
The trees stood frozen in white,
Wintry wet sculptures hanging from rooftops,
And black wings flap against a pale morning,

The ice-covered land glistens in tears,
As snowflakes held her in frosty captive,
Cold and bitter with rage of winter,
Sank deep in the deep of despair,
A tender grief that turns into woe,

Such is where the souls languish with sadness,
In wintry evening shade and loneliness,
When the world is taken hostage in Hades,
To let solemn thoughts wander in agony,
seeking solace and peace,
Over the lost dream

A Summer Kiss

A summer kiss steals winter away,

Icicles slowly melt in tears,

As the sun blows his kisses,

Flowers and trees meet his gaze in sweetest smiles,

A summer kiss bids winter farewell,

To unlock nature of its frozen secrets,

When snow white disperse in haste,

And birds fly again in blue skies,

A summer kiss hides winter away,

Nature awakes from her slumber,

As her limbs vibrate once more with life,

And the world is full in colors,

LOVE

She stared at the starless skies,
Tears rolled down her pale ashen face,
Her heart ached in million shredded pieces,
For the feeling inside her died slowly for sure,
Like the invisible crescent moon above,

She stared at the starless skies,
With agony of a broken heart,
As the dark painted the night with blackness,
Erasing any sign of happiness,
Confiscated a beauty in its perilous rage,
When love vanished without a trace,
And hate merged with despair in the guise of night

She stared at the starless skies,
A faint smile masked her lustrous beauty,
As she took flight into the dying moon,
With heart of love and sacrifice,
Shelling all pain and misery aside,

And she looked at her moon affectionately,
Smiling at her with her last final breath,
As her essense burst out into myriad of stardust,
Each gem merged into the skies,
Casting away the darkness and blackness,
Creating a perfect picture,
Of starlit skies,
And the magnificent full moon
