The Moon and The Earth

A night to remember,

Silvery moon pearling the air,

So bright resembling a shimmering orb,

Gazing solemnly at the earth,

From her magnificent throne,

Bringing bitter sweet fragrance,

Of love and sacrifice

A heartbreaking melody breaks the silence,

A mantra devoted for the queen so fair,

Glowing in splendor in her golden robe,

Sung elegantly by her constant wanderer,

A lonely heart waiting in deep longing,

A fire of pale desire in his misty eyes,

As tears rolling down his mournful face,

While he kiss her for a fleeting moment,

As the dawn returns too soon

A night to remember,

Before a goodbye is bid,

For once split second,

Silvery patch of haze,

Woven tediously by glittering stars,

Forming a misty veil for the fair goddess,

Sheltering the two hearts for peaceful reunion,

As words of yearning written down in their longing eyes,

Embracing each other in silence grace,

As their eyes kiss in fire,

As their souls merge in one,

Before the dawning of the day,

When she fades away
